So… How did we get into the Burl Business??? Love, that’s how. We fell in Love with the beauty of Burled Woods. Beautiful burl wood tables and art pieces inspired Steve to create his first burl business, High Sierra Designs. A talent for marketing prompted him to gather fellow artists and set up the first outdoor art show in Coconut Grove. (Do you think that is how the Coconut Grove Art Show got its inspiration??) Wood is a great medium for art and where better to find LARGE wood than California! So off to San Francisco. Yes, Go west young man! Now the drama begins, building a saw with 16 foot cutting bar. Semis, Bulldozers, Yes, bulldozers! that is how you unearth a Redwood Burl. Those burls are the behemoths of woods. They are sourced with care for the environment. Finally protected the stately ancient trees of the Redwood forest are free from destruction. We enjoy finding legal and ethically harvested burls, then turning them into works of art. Still in the Burl Business and now, Moose Crossing Burl Wood Gallery in Waynesville NC, We source our woods exclusively in the Unites States. East and West coast woods are harvested, slabbed and dried, ready for production. Come visit our gallery or call for help with your custom project. We love to talk “WOOD”.

Lift gate request is an upcharge of $105.

Coffee table approx..$250 +. (crate $150 - $250/ crate)
Dining tables vary greatly depending on size $700 up, crating $500 and up.
Bars $650 and up. Crates $500 to 6 feet additional for extra lengths.
Our shipments go via Freight transport with delivery to your door.
